10/13/2023 0 Comments Py install moduleIt is a way of structuring Python’s module namespace by using "dotted module names".įor example, the module name “matplotlib.pyplot” designates a submodule named “pyplot” in a package named “matplotlib”. Packages are nothing but a collection of modules. The definitions from a module can be imported into other modules or in the program that we code. To support this, Python has a way to put a code definition in a file and use them in any Python script (code lines). Also, we can find a way to copy and paste the lines of code each time we wish to use the same, without having to create the code lines every time we want the same program. This is known as writing a script.Īs a program gets longer, we may want to split it into several small files for easier maintenance. In order to write a long program, we might consider a text editor to write the Python code lines. When we write Python code lines for a particular task, for instance, trade order execution or for entering a trade signal (buy or sell), we use the Python environment such as the Python or IPython console. Import get_data from iexfinance does not work. Cannot install iexfinance using conda install.I noticed the installation works with develop but still fails with install. I'm pretty sure this worked before, but even when I go back to an earlier commit it doesn't work now. I'm running this on two different Ubuntu 16.04 machines. I am aware that there are lots of similar questions and I tried most/all solutions suggested here, e.g., checking the _init_.py and setting PYTHONPATH, but the problem still exists. Now, after installing this successfully with sudo python setup.py install, I run mypackage and get an import error: No module named mypackage.main. It has the following structure: myprojectĪnd my setup.pycreates an entry point like this: from setuptools import setup, find_packages I'm having trouble installing one of my python scripts.
